Since 1983, we have offered the conservation and restoration of fine art on paper and oil on canvas. We follow the AIC code of ethics and the highest professional standards, using the latest advances and technical approaches in art conservation. ReNewell is unique because of its expertise with both canvas and paper.

About Us
ReNewell Inc. has served private collectors and museums on the East Coast since 1983, specializing in art on paper and 18th- and 19th-century oil paintings.
Owner and chief conservator Ginny Newell draws on an art history degree from Davidson College and extensive conservation studies in both the United States and Europe. That combined experience sets ReNewell apart as uniquely qualified in conservation problem-solving.
Ginny takes conservation refresher courses to stay abreast of new approaches and technologies. Ginny and her assistant of 19 years, Jeff Donovan, operate a lab that follows the field's highest professional standards.
When not in her lab, she enjoys hitting the trails. She has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, hiked the Inca Trail from Cuzco to Machu Picchu and walked El Camino de Santiago in northern Spain from Sarria to Santiago and on to Fisterre.
Ginny is a designated, peer- reviewed Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), the International Institute for Conservation (IIC), the Southeastern Regional Conservation Association (SERCA), and Conservators in Private Practice (CIPP).
